Our Stimulating interactive presentations complement and enhance the requirements of the National Curriculum for all Key Stages. We carefully tailor each presentation for the individual age groups. All of the presentations are constantly being updated to include the most recent developments.

The presentations are displayed using a computer and projector , providing a vast range of high quality images. Some of the presentations also include short films or animations (For example the first moments of Neil Armstrong stepping onto the Moon). This exciting addition makes our presentations the most up to date and informative ever.

A choice of Presentations are available, each followed by a projected tour of the night sky, these include :
  • Key Stage 1/2 - The Earth, Sun & Moon
  • Keystage 3 - The Solar System and Beyond
  • Keystage 4 - The Life and Death of Stars
  • Greek Mythology - Suitable for all ages
  • The Moon - Exploring our nearest neighbor in space
  • The Final Frontier - The past, present and future of Space travel
Keystage 1 & 2

For Key Stages 1 and 2 we can demonstrate day and night as well as phases of the Moon . This is especially effective in the planetarium. During the presentation we also look at each of the planets in our solar system and discuss their size, distance from the sun and distinguishing features. The stars and constellations are also covered in detail and much much more. The presentation is designed to cover and expand upon QCA unit 5E Earth, Sun and Moon.

After the demonstrations a tour of the night sky will be given. This is where the dome comes into its own. See over 3000 stars, relevant planets and the Sun and Moon on the inner surface of the dome. We will ensure that the display corresponds with the actual night sky on the day of the presentation. During the tour the children are shown how to locate various constellations, the pole star and other objects.

The presentation, lasting approximately 1 hour (including time for questions and answers), easily covers "The Earth, Sun and Moon " Year 6 SATs revision as well as acting as an excellent introduction to space and the solar system for any age group. The careful design of the presentation makes it easy to adapt for Key Stage 1, giving an introduction to the concepts of space and the solar system

Key Stage 3
The Key Stage 3 presentation contains all the major elements of the Key Stage 2 presentation and also includes information on the seasons, comparative planet size/ distance and our place in the Galaxy. As with all our presentations this includes a tour of the night sky.
This presentation is suitable for Year 9 SATs revision.

Key Stage 4
This addition to our range means we now offer presentations to all age groups. The presentation is designed to revise the major themes from Key Stages 1,2 and 3 (if required) and also covers new topics including, The Life and Death of Stars; Redshift; Energy Production in the Sun; etc. It is an excellent aid to GCSE physics and is a great way to teach some of the most complex sections of the course. As/A level students studying science or A/As level general studies may also benefit from this presentation
